Holistic health consulting
rooted in Chinese medicine
and deep listening

I trained at ACTCM in San Francisco and completed a specialized internship in Chinese medicine gynecology and infertility under Dr. Lifang Liang — one of the leading voices in TCM fertility care in the U.S. Over a decade in private practice taught me to read the patterns underneath the symptoms, the ones a ten-minute appointment rarely has room for.

Juan Carlos

Wellness Coach · Herbalist · Health Consultant.

My path to wellness coaching ran through ecology, education, and a long reckoning with my own health. I trained at ACTCM in San Francisco, completed a specialized internship in Chinese medicine gynecology and fertility support under Dr. Lifang Liang, and spent five years teaching Chinese medicine and herbology at the Academy of Chinese Culture and Health Sciences in Oakland.

Over more than a decade in private practice, I worked with people navigating fertility challenges, hormonal imbalance, chronic pain, digestive complaints, and the slower conditions that don't resolve with a single explanation. My approach draws on herbs, nutrition, and lifestyle — and always, careful listening. Today, my work is entirely health consulting and wellness coaching — delivered remotely and built around your specific picture.

What people say

FAQs

What happens in a first consultation?

The initial session runs 75–90 minutes. We cover your full health history, current symptoms and patterns, relevant lab work, diet, sleep, and stress. The goal is to build a complete picture before recommending anything. You'll leave with a clear sense of what I'm seeing and what the plan looks like.

How do video consultations work?

Sessions take place via video call — Zoom or a similar platform. You'll receive a booking confirmation with a link. All you need is a stable internet connection and a quiet space. The quality of the session is the same as in-person; most of my clients work with me remotely.

Do you work with people outside the US?

Yes. I work with clients worldwide — I work across time zones regularly.

What do you support clients with?

My focus is fertility and reproductive wellness — cycle health, hormonal balance, preconception preparation, complementary support alongside IVF, and male fertility support. I also work with clients navigating hormonal imbalance, digestive concerns, low energy, and sleep difficulties — areas that often respond well to Chinese medicine-informed nutrition and lifestyle approaches.

What does a typical plan involve?

It varies by person, but usually some combination of classical Chinese herbal formulas, nutritional adjustments, targeted supplementation, and lifestyle shifts. Nothing is fixed — the plan is built around your specific picture and adjusted as things change.

Is my information kept confidential?

Yes. Everything shared in our sessions is held in strict confidence, in compliance with applicable privacy regulations.
